Can someone register twice?

We are using "events" to allow people to enter the drawing of a season of donated Dodger tickets. If someone has put their hat in the ring to "win" a pair of tickets but isn't selected, they can go back and try again for a different date. But the system isn't allowing it, presumably, because they have already registered. Does anyone know if there is a way around this (aside from (1) breaking it down into multiple "events" spanning narrower timeframes, or (2) going in and removing the dates that have passed, hoping that it also will remove the registrants for those dates (and therefore allow a new "registration." However, then we lose our history, so it's not my first choice. Any ideas? Thank you!

If the email address has already been used for a registration, then they won't be able to re-register until you've explicitly cancelled their registration.
