I need to send a company email, on behalf of one of my co-workers. The boss wants to be carbon copied on the email, so that the recipients see that the boss has seen this email that was sent to them. I already know that they recipients are BCC, but can we Carbon Copy someone else?
Hello @TheQ99.7FM ,
For Compliance reasons, all emails sent through us are BCC'd. There is simply no CC option available.
Hi there- has this been changed by any chance? Since it was from a year ago. I don't see what reasoning that this would be against compliance reasons, seeing as every email platform offers cc and bcc. As the original poster mentioned having the boss cc'd on every email. The same is for my case however bcc won't work because -with every email, we want to show that both bosses have been cc'd. Thank you
No it isn't possible. If you need to prove in some way that an email has been sent to your higher ups, you're welcome to take a screencap that shows them among the contacts sent to, but by default CC'ing isn't compliant with our privacy policies or system functionality.
Thank you for responding. But it's not about proving to the higher ups about the email. It's so the higher ups can respond to email if choose to or the people we email want to respond and include the higher ups.
Thank you again.
Okay thanks so much!
