When customers Confirm their email address, why does the status remain "Permission to Send" instead of "Confirmed"? Is this a known case of trouble? I NEED the Confirmed Status back so I don't delete Contacts that have been Confirmed. Thank You for your immediate assistance.
Hello @PatriciaS24,
Permission to send would be the status that notates contacts have opted in and are ready to be mailed to. If they did not opt in, the status would show Awaiting Confirmation or No Permission Set. Please see the following articles to learn more about contact statuses:

Active Versus Inactive Contacts
I hope this helps clarify! Please let us know if there is any other way we can help.
This is not an acceptable reply. The field used to say Confirmed when someone Confirmed their permission via the CASL process. Why was that Confirmed status taken away? If this was an "upgrade", I don't like it. Why change something that was working fine?
Hello @PatriciaS24. I spoke with an upper level of support and we determined that if you were to enable advanced email permissions, you would then be able to see if a contact has given express or implied permission. You can then send use the "CASL Confirm Subscription" template in your account to send an emal to your contacts. Contacts who confirm through the template will be marked as giving express permission.
