Contact Removals

I use Constant Contact to send a newsletter to the employees at my organization.  I get a weekly list of active emails that I upload to add in any new hires.  The issue is that the list keeps getting bigger because new hires get added, but no one who leaves is removed.  Is there a way around this issue?

My thought is to purge the list every week, but I'm worried that the data associated with the contacts would not transfer if they are deleted and then reuploaded.

Hi @GalenA03 ,

I completely understand. Deleting and re-adding the contacts will not alter the data, such as the engagement history of the contact, so you should be okay to purge the list as long as you are not completely unsubscribing the still-active contacts.

Another option is to get a list of the people who have left the company, and upload them as unsubscribed. You should be aware, however, that you will not be able to add them back in yourself if they are unsubscribed. The contact would need to re-subscribe manually if they ever returned to the company.
