Hello everyone, we just sent out a plain text email blast this morning to our entire base. Some people are complaining of a green background that makes the text unreadable. It appears to be people who have their phones set in dark mode and the white plain text background must trigger that setting on some phones. How do we get around this? Do we need to make these jpg blocks and use say a grey background to not trigger this dark mode issue?
Though you were able to speak with our Support about this experience, I wanted to make sure our response was shared here as well. Display changes like this when viewing an email through dark mode is an experience we are continuing to troubleshoot. Though we do not have a time estimate of when this will be resolved, we do have a queue you’ve been added to be notified when this happens. We also suggest turning off the dark mode when viewing your emails. I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with in the meantime.
Hello @ChristC ,
At this time, we cannot control how email clients recolor text and other elements when converting an email to dark mode. You're welcome to suggest to your contacts to look at your emails in light mode, or use more neutral coloring to help the email clients display the emails better. This is unfortunately standard practice for email clients and apps that have dark mode features, and affects emails made in other ESPs, as well as within the email clients themselves for the time being.
