Design Color Not Applying to Hyperlinks

Hi all, 

I just set up a template for my eNews in Constant Contact, with special attention paid to body text and link information. When I add a link to my body text, the color I selected for the link does not apply - no color does. Is there a button somewhere I'm missing?

Hi @KatieP74 

I can understand the importance of branding your emails with the correct colors. In fact I have taken a look at your most recent campaign and was unable to replicate this same experience. Was this desired link color set universally under the Design Tab of your campaign, or directly in that text block? If you have not yet tested changing this link in a different browser or a private/incognito window, I would suggest trying. This is a great way to see if there may be any 3rd party add-ons that could affect how Constant Contact works.

I appears that it happened when I copied in text with formatting. When I coped in with the shift key (paste without formatting) the issue seemed to go away.

Thanks for giving us this update! We're happy to hear you were able to determine what was causing this color change. Removing formatting before copying and pasting text from an outside source is always a great step to take. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with as you continue to work in your account

I would like links in our emails to show up in the INTERNET STANDARD for links -- as the default. I understand if some clients want them to show up in a branded color. But am guessing the vast majority want the default formatting, including our organization. This is problematic as we just sent out an email that had a link but no formatting whatsoever. We shouldn't have to perform additional formatting for this. Please fix!

It looks like you're responding to an older thread. We include the standard recoloring and underlining for links in emails, in the design tab from an account's start. If your links are not recolored and underlined automatically, this indicates a setting in your personal design tab. When you copy an email, those design defaults are copied as well. If the defaults are there, then that means the unformatted text link was explicitly stripped of that while making the email, perhaps accidentally highlighted when you were updating fonts or other elements in the body of it. Make sure to preview and test your email before sending to make sure it has the formatting and other elements you're wanting and may not have caught while editing.
