Hi. I created a single column email and in my test emails to recipients with Outlook 2016 the single column (which should display in the center of a desktop screen) is actually spread out unevenly across the screen. Section headers are shifted over the right instead of centered. Does anyone know about this or experienced it. Can you suggest a fix?
Hello @UMDI71,
Thanks for coming over to the Community with your questions. I took a look at your account, and it looks like you may have called in already about this issue earlier today and that a case has been created for our upper level team to investigate. Let us know if you still need assistance on this matter, we would be happy to help!
Good day Hayley
regarding this issue has there been any progress to a solution for this? perhaps a template update or advice on how we can fix it?
Hello @IngridG22. At this time, we do not have an update as to why some emails are stretching on Outlook 2016 since this does involve a lot of testing by our upper levels of support. We would like to investigate this further for you. Could you please email us at social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com with your username, a reference to this post, the name of the email that you are seeing this happen in and also any screenshots that you are able to take of the display issue? We would certainly appreciate this as we continue to investigate.
I had the same issue and solved it by Unchecking the option "Reduce message size by removing format information not necessary to display the message" fixed the issue for me.

i'm having the same issue. see screen. i resized image to be 600px wide, and the check box in options to strip out formatting was already unchecked.
I also tried pasting from notepad, pasting without formatting (chrome right click), and recreating the email from scratch using a new template. problem persists.
Hello @KimM10
Thank you for reaching out in the Community. I understand that it's important for your email to appear the way you designed it to look.
We'd like to look in to your account further to see what might be causing the issue. If you can, please send an email to social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com with your username, the campaign name, and a reference to this post.
Thanks!
emailing the support does not help the rest of us. what is the fix for this?
Hi @CandiR6
Emailing Support allows us to collect more information while still maintaining your account security. With that being said, what exactly are you experiencing with your email? Which email client and version are you working in? Are you having the same display issues described in this thread? If so I would suggest trying the solution previously mentioned in this thread:
- Click File -> Options -> Mail
- Under Message format, uncheck the option "Reduce message size by removing format information not necessary to display the message"
- Click View tab > Reading Pane > Options and uncheck the option "Turn on automatic full-screen reading in portrait orientation"
- Restart Outlook
Still having problems with displaying the email in Outlook.
Hi @nsimila
I'm sorry to hear your email is not displaying as it should! What exactly are you experiencing? What is the name of this campaign you are seeing a change in? Are you seeing these changes in any other email client? Having these details, along with any screenshot you may have, will allow us to troubleshoot these changes further for you.
Hello. I'm running into the same issue and find it frustrating since I just got the company to switch to Constant Contact. Any tips on where to find this button or other advise on how to make the content appear in Outlook as it appears during preview in Constant Contact?
