Error with Read More block

I am receiving an error that says 'Looks like we can’t access that URL. Try again or use a different URL.' when I try to insert a link in a 'Read More' block. Sharing post to facebook is working normally.

Hello @TaiChiFoundation ,

When doing some tests in your account the Read More block seemed to be working fine for several of my website tests, but your website seemed to trigger the error for whatever reason. Our engineers are looking into the issue of certain websites triggering this error message, so I got your information passed along to them, as well as the results of my investigation.

In the meantime, I'd recommend using image, text, and button blocks to accomplish a similar effect as the Read More block. If an when the engineers have an update to the issue, they'll make sure to notify you.

Hi William,

Any update on this?

Hi @TaiChiFoundation

I have checked into this issue with our team and they are still researching the problem. In the meantime, you can use a button or text link to enter the blog URL, it just won't function properly with the Read More block right now. Please feel free to check back if you need anything else.

Thank you for using Constant Contact. Have a good day!

I guess this problem has not been resolved. I am trying to insert a link to an article on Bloomberg's news site and get that error. Links to other news stories work fine. The url works fine in my browser and on Twitter, so I know it's a valid url. Does Constant Contact block links to Bloomberg?

Hello @JenniferL366,

I have checked into this issue with our team and they are still researching the problem. If your URL begins with https, try entering it as http. If this does not work, you can use a button or text link to enter the blog URL, since it just won't function properly with the Read More block right now. Please feel free to check back if you need anything else.

We are having this same issue on our site. Did you ever get a resolution? Using the workaround you provided is so much more time consuming that it is not feasible - can you please let us know what the engineers did to fix this, so we can this fixed on our account?

Thank you.
