Event Check-in no longer providing the info we need

When we scan a QR code for an event, we need to see all info from a registrant... which worked perfectly for the same event one year ago. Now (possibly because of the EventSpot removal) it only shows that the registrant has checked in. I did a customer support chat today where I was told to find a 3rd party app as a work-around. Huh? I know how to scan a QR code... I just need the same info provided last year. Does anyone know a true workaround? Thank you!

Was there a particular app you were using previously for event check-ins that allowed all the info through? The check-in app we'd originally developed was retired and removed from app stores years ago, when we were still planning to fully integrate with a 3rd party event system. I'm not aware if a new check-in system will be in place with the in-house event system rework that the devs are working on, however in the meantime we've been recommending the use of devices or apps that can scan QR codes for check-ins. 

That said, 3rd party apps won't be able to pull up full details from those QR codes for both privacy and technical reasons, but the tickets those QRs are on will have all the registrant's info. So it'll ultimately come down to either using the ticket for reference, or confirming their details in the event's registrant details list to mark down their check-in manually.

I'm sorry to hear that. It was so quick and easy to use before. Customer Support over chat gave totally different information yesterday.

I should mention that we weren't using an app last year. We scanned the tickets and we were prompted to login to CC on our browser (just like it is now). However, it used to provide lots of valuable information about registrants when their tix were scanned. Now it just changes their status to "attended" and shows the name of one member of the party.
