Does anyone else run into issues where coworkers seem to think that their emails should be getting 100% open rates? Even though our open rates are well above industry open rates that does not seem to appease. I am hoping for any input from people on ways to communicate this.
Hello @TimothyF,
Thank you for bringing this to the community. I believe everyone here can sympathize with the difficulty of conveying realistic expectations for open rates. I find that rather than focusing on the current open rate, it's best to start by comparing to others in the same industry.
You can find the industry average open rates here.
Getting 100% open rate is generally an impossible goal, unless you have a very small, and very dedicated list. The general public takes vacations, has surprise meetings, good and bad days, and any other number of occurrences that mean they don't open every email that is sent to them.
