Fillable PDF forms

Hi everyone -

I have a fillable PDF form that needs to get to the customers.  But when I upload it and link it in the campaign, it comes as a regular PDF and not fillable.  Anything I am missing?  Thank you !

Hey @RobertaC477,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're sorry to see you've had some trouble with your pdf's, but perhaps I can offer some insight.

When it comes to editing PDF's, they generally require a program (or website) that is specifically built to perform such a task. Otherwise pdf's are in many ways glorified pictures.

What I would recommend for you, is if you want your contacts to be able to edit their PDF's, is to try uploading them and linking them to a 3rd party online program that can edit them (such as DocHub).

Or, you can also try uploading them to our system as Word documents. Most people have access to some form of word processing - such as Word, Pages, or Google Docs - and can utilize such programs to put in their info.

PDF's generally don't download as editable unless the device being downloaded to has one of these editing programs built-in. Therefore it's usually good practice to either have these forms be in another document type format (such as .doc or .docx) or to have them be printable to fill out by hand.
