I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with this. Outlook renders emails a little differently than other clients and unfortunately it can be a little tricky. I am happy to take a look and see what suggestions I can make if you would like. What is the name of the email you are testing? Also, do you have Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010?
I'd love some help on this too. Even in preview mode in Constant Contact, a good portion of the text is being cut out but in design mode it all looks perfect. Very confusing. The header is also centering in Outlook but looks fine in any other email client. I'm not sure what to do.
I'm happy to take a look. What is the name of the email you are working in currently and what version of Outlook ar eyou sending to?
The email is December 2012 Company-wide Newsletter and I am running Outlook 2010 but others in my office are running 2003 and 2007, so if there is a way to make it compatible across the board that would be fantastic!
I took a look at the email and have made some changes in a copy for you. Please take a look at "CTCT December 2012" and test it out! I removed some of the characters under the "DeSolo Trails" image, I think these were inserted without a space so they were stretching the block.
I have tested in Outlook 2010 and this has resolved the stretching template. I also used the "Fit to Block" option on the header image to resolve the excess space on the right of the image.
Let me know how this looks,
I have created an emailer using my own theme. I have uploaded the same and created an emailer in Constant Contact by copying html. I have sent a test mailer, and that came properly in my mail box. But after sending a test mailer to almost 9 people with a copy to me, I have noticed that I lost most of the formatting; both text formating and image. I have tested the web version and it is working fine in Chrome and IE. Now, I am not sure what went wrong when email sent by ConstantContact.
Can someone help me out resloving it???
I also experience random changes that I did not select to do and my font color and size changes. I have called/chatted with so many people but the Constant Contact Team does not seem to have any solution.
I am sorry to hear this is happening for you, I would be happy to take a closer look. Every email client will display a little differently and sometimes we need to make some small chnages to fix the email in specific locations. What email client are you sending to when you see the changes? (Outlook, AOL, Gmail, etc) We have a great list of know dispay differences in the most popular email clients if you would like to take a look at this.
Please let us know if we have permission to take a look at the email in your account and what the email is named.
