Greeting error in email

Hi All,

Need some assistance with an issue I'm running into. Defined the greeting tag like normal using the contact's first name if known and "Greetings" if unknown.

When previewing the mail it shows the correct way meaning the real name of the contact is shown. However when sending a test mail an incorrect name is used. Actually the name of the sender.

Any advice on how to solve this?

All the best, stay safe and healthy!

Ruud

Hello @MattA56 ,

Test emails will only display the account owner's name for greeting tags and other personalization that utilizes "First Name" or "Last Name" elements. Since test emails can be sent to anyone, they do no pull contact information, even if the test email is sent to someone whose email is among your contacts.
