For some reason, we have subscribers who still use plain text email clients.
When we send a message through CC what do these plain text clients see? Are they even able to open the email? If they can open them, do buttons work?
I ask this because we have a plain text subscriber who insists she isn't getting our weekly newsletter, but CC reports it as being opened - every one of them.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with these questions! At this time, having access to the plain text version of an email is a feature request we are collecting feedback on. Though highlighting all of the text in your email and pasting it into notepad is a very close representation of how the text version will look. As for what your contacts actually see, plain text versions will not be counted as an open. Images have to be downloaded in order for it to be tracked as open, and no images are downloaded in a plain text version. As for your buttons, the plain text version would show the button text with the URL next to it. So there wouldn't be a linked button but readers can click on the URL from there.
