How Do I Personaluze A Mass email

Hi, 

I hope I am asking this in a manner that makes sense. I send a weekly email and I would like the email to be addressed to each person indivually ie: "Hi Jane, Hi Katie etc. 

I am having a hrd time locatingthis as a tutorial. Any thoughts?
