How To Edit a Trigger Email?

I have created an auto responders series that is not activated.

I need to put a link into the trigger email but can't seem to find a way to open the email and edit it.

Please let me know the steps to do this.

Hello @KarolW,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! To use the click trigger option, the link that triggers the series will have to be located in an email outside of the series. So when you send that email manually and customers select the link, it will start sending the separate automated series.

I can't open the trigger email to add anything.  I know I put text there the first time I created it but I don't remember what it says and I want to add something.

Regular emails that have already been sent can't be edited. If your trigger email is just a regular email, you'd need to copy it to edit, then send it out so it can actually be used for the trigger.

Additionally, automations can't have their triggers edited after publishing, so if your automation is already live with the older email trigger, then you'll need to cancel it. Then you'll need to copy it, and setup its trigger to be the newly edited and sent regular email.

Ultimately, it's going to come down to whether or not you believe the updated wording is worth resending the trigger email to all of the applicable contacts again, thus resulting in your automation restarting as well.
