Images VERY slow to load in recieved email

Occasional Participant

I send and resend emails for a client and over the past few months, when I receive my copy, there are NO images showing. Then after a minute or two the blue-box-questionmark shows up and stays up... well I haven't got time to wait to see if it ever does.

These are images I have used before with no issues. They are small and optimized jpgs.

Any ideas of what is happening or how to solve?


Viewing in Apple Mail which is functioning just fine on all other emails that come in.

We do apologize that you are running into this issue. There are issues from time to time when sending emails to Mac Mail/Apple Mail. If the images are not showing or loading we have found that this workaround usually works for these types of issues 

For each image that is not showing:

  • Click to open the image as if you were going to change it
  • Right click on the image (ctrl+click)
  • Copy image location
  • Go to the Image URL tab
  • Paste the URL
  • Remove the "s" from the https, leaving the image as http
  • Preview the image and insert it.
  • Repeat for all images
  • Send a test to ensure this works 

    We can also try Safelisting Constant Contact as well .
