Import Size Limits

2.8MB is incredibly small for the max of an imported file. It would be nice if you would increase this limit.

Hi @JosephK225  where in your account are you trying to upload this file? Currently our users can upload files as large as 5MB into their libraries.

When I go to upload new contacts via Excel or CSV, there is a limit of 2.8MB.

Hi Joseph,

 

Thanks for clarifying and for the feedback. We'll be sure to pass it along. You are correct, the current file size limit for contacts is 2.8MB or 40,000 contacts per file (whichever one gets hit first).  The 5MB limit mentioned above was referring to images/hosted files in the Library. 

 

If there are any extra tabs, blank/empty data, or columns of data you don't plan on bringing into Constant Contact, you may find it helpful to remove them before import if you are hitting this limit often. Otherwise, files would have to be broken into multiples. We'll still pass along the request for the larger file size though, sorry for any extra file prep.
