Hi @DrewG96
So sorry this is happening with the link in your campaign! We did also receive your email to us about these Instagram links. We will be follow up and continue troubleshooting through this email. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with in the meantime.
I'm trying to connect the instagram icon to our instagram account and getting nowhere. Please can you let me know if there is a problem with this?
Hi @FionaW42,
Thank you for reaching out to us through the Community. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. There are no major reports about this issue, but I will like to look into this further for you. Could you please email us the title of the email campaign you are working on and the Instagram link you are trying to insert within your email campaign at social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com? Thank you!
I too am trying to fix the Instagram button link in my campaign. Your new feature identified the link as broken, so I'm now trying to fix it - to no avail. The edit tab doesn't seem to work and nowhere is there a menu for social within that box. Can you help?
I might also add that trying to get help on a weekend - when I normally work on the newsletters for my gallery - is so frustrating. Didn't you have support on Saturdays at least in the early days of Constant Contact?
Hi @LouiseG7
Thank you for reaching out to the Constant Contact Community. It's my pleasure to assist you today!
I'm sorry for the issue you are encountering with editing your Instagram link, I was able to go into the campaign and edit the Instagram link. I have saved it and verified that the link is functional. Please go into the account and have a look and make sure this is correct. You may feel free to reach back out to us here should you need anything else.
I will also certainly submit your feedback regarding weekend support. While we no longer offer weekend support via phone and chat, we are here to assist you through the Community and Social Media. Please feel free to reach out here if you need us.
Thank you for choosing Constant Contact. Have a great day!
Thank you for your response. I would like to learn HOW to do that editing, so could you please explain the process so I can do it myself when necessary?
Thanks,
Louise
Hi @LouiseG7
Of course! My pleasure. If you click on the Social Media block where the icons appear and then click Edit, on the left side of the page you will see the icons with the corresponding links. Just adjust the link there and click save and you will be all set. Here is the article that displays screenshots as well. Please feel free to check it out and let me know if you have other questions!
Thank you for choosing Constant Contact. Have a great day!
This is not helpful. I've been following these instructions and its still not working. Something is wrong on your end especially if all of these people are having the same issue.
Hi @DavidW76071
I'm so sorry to hear the directions in this thread have not worked for you. We would be more than happy to help you further with adding your social media links to your email! Was there any part of our directions that were confusing? Are you receiving any error messages? Are you unable to find where to edit or insert your social media link? Having these details can help us to better understand your experience.
Hello @DeonteM4,
The link you just provided appears to be a link to your website, not to your instagram account. You would need to go to your instagram page directly and copy the link from the top. It should start with instagram.com/(something related to your business name).
I replace the link with the correct link and hit done all day. It always reverts to http://blank. I have tried as owner account. I have tried deleting and re-adding Instagram. I have tried deleting and re-adding the whole social media bar. It always reverts to http://blank.
Hello @PatriciaB87961
Thanks for coming to the Community for help. I'm sorry to hear you've been having this issue all day.
Based on the information you have provided, you may need to clear your web browser's cache since it is reverting back to the incorrect version.
Thanks!
I am having the same problem. I followed your instructions on how to add social media links, I found this comment thread and cleared my cache, and my social media links still won't save in my campaign.
I click edit, I add the link to the social media button, I click done. The link still doesn't appear or save.
How do I fix this? Thanks.
Hi @JadeY8
I'm sorry to hear you too are having this experience! What browser are you working in and how are you adding in this URL (directly typed, pasted via mouse, pasted via keyboard shortcut)? Are you receiving any error messages? We have seen cases where URLs don't save when a user is making changes to Social Media Button that already exist. Are these new icons you have inserted or are you updating already existing ones? In these cases we always suggest trying a different browser or even inserting the URL by a different method. Please let us know if either of these workarounds work. This is something we would be happy to continue troubleshooting.
Your reply worked and taught me how to fix these links in the future. I don't see where I can indicate "Accepted Solution!"
Hello @LouiseG7,
I am very glad that the last reply worked for you! I apologize but the only person who can mark this as an accepted solution is the original thread creator. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for using Constant Contact!
I had the same problem everytime I went to like or comment on a post. I continuously emailed instagram asking them for help with no reply. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and nothing worked…until I came on here and read a certain comment. Instagram has been changing their policies about content and privacy issues. On my bio I had a link to my tumblr account and being that tumblr has explicit connect this is why it wasn't letting me like or comment on post. I edited my bio and deleted the link and now my Instagram is back to normal
