I want to copy an email, as I have always done, but there is no longer an option to do this. I have also tried to contact Constant Contact but the chat never opens and the phone calls doesn't get answered. I have been trying for several days.
Thanks, Jo

Hello everyone!
We apologize for any inconvenience caused from this Copy feature not being available on your legacy campaign. The ability to copy Legacy Newsletter templates has been disabled since we are moving forward with our updated editor and are dedicating resources to making this editor the best it can be. Because of this we would recommend recreating your template in our updated editor. This up-to-date editor does have the ability to be copied.
Additionally, we have an article that specifically goes over some of the differences and similarities between the legacy editor and our current one. Feel free to peruse our Knowledge Base for other helpful guides, tutorial videos, tips, and basic troubleshooting assistance regarding the editor.
If you'd like some live, one-on-one guidance and screensharing, our friendly phone support staff would be happy to assist you while you make the transition. They can also collect info on what template(s) you'd like to have transposed into the current editor, or get an order written up if you'd like a wholly different, branded template created.
We welcome any feedback about this editor. If you would like to see a feature included, please leave your feedback here. This directly posts to our Get Feedback area where posts are read by the Product team. They use the feedback left by customers to make decisions on future feature updates based on what is getting the most volume. While we welcome your thoughts and comments here, it is best to post on that board so your feedback can be tracked easier.
Hello @MBPR ,
It appears your account was part of the latest wave of legacy email builder retirements we've been emailing about. I'd recommend taking a look at our Knowledge Base for its plethora of helpful articles to ease the transition to our current, mobile-friendly email builder. For starters, you may be interested in this article on transitioning between the two builders.
If you'd like one-on-one guidance, our general support agents can work with you live on the phone to get started as well. You can also request to have your legacy template remade in the new editor by one of the professional designers, or to have an entirely new one created for a price.
Our boy scout troop uses this app to send emails to various patrols or the entire troop. I just logged in to create a new campaign and it seems that I can no longer simply copy a previous campaign to edit with new information. Did something change? I last sent something just a week ago and I am trying to figure out how I can do as I did before which was very quick and easy without having to recreate the entire look of a campaign every time.

Reading through the rest of these comments, this change was clearly inconducive to the needs of your customers. Please consider reversing this decision.
Please bring back the "copy" option ASAP. Many of us have faced staffing cutbacks and increased workflow, so making more work for us at this critical time is not a customer-friendly move. I need the convenience of being able to set up an email quickly and efficiently using our template. This is not good. It literally costs you nothing to keep things convenient for customers and costs us lots of time and aggravation.
This is a horrible decision that is going to add hours to our work, now having to recreate newsletter templates! We've been with CC for so long and everything worked fine! Not being able to copy past emails and then adjust the information is SO frustrating! Why didn't they ask us-the consumer!! Whose hair-brained idea was this?!?!
Hi Folks. Can't tell you how angry and frustrated I am with your new 'improvements'. In the past it took minutes to copy a prior campaign then edit it as needed. My problems and points:
1) To produce a new template, if I create a link using the 'share' function and plug it into the new designer, it creates a page that bears no resemblance whatsoever to my previous design. The available templates bear no resemblance to what I used to first create my newsletters so long ago and have used so successfully for the last 10(?) years or so and garner me typically ~60% open rates.
2) I would think that your business focus should be on making things as easy as possible for your customers, including helping them design exactly what was taken away and took so much effort to thoughtfully produce and refine. If making a close approximation of my existing layout can not be done, you have deprived me (and yourself) of the value of building a recognizable and apparently very successful format and relationship with my clients.
3) I have used( and paid for)your service for close to 10 years and have always been quite happy with it, with only a very occasional glitch, so why you felt compelled to change without the consultation and input of your longtime customers is beyond me. Is there anything that can be done to help me design what has been so successful in the past? Judging by the number of posts concerning the lose of the copy function, I know I'm not alone in this.
Thanks!
Hello @jeffreyw63 ,
As you might have seen in some of my previous posts regarding regarding legacy (2ge) retirement, it was severely glitchy and hadn't been developed for several years in favor of developing our current, main editor (3ge). Several of its functionalities were also no longer compatible with modern email clients, and this caused additional deliverability issues overall. The ability to make a new 2ge template hasn't been available for several years, only the ability to copy old templates, which after awhile of making copies of copies of copies (and so on) built up too much faulty coding and caused massive troubleshooting and lag problems. 3ge templates can be copied.
If you're needing additional resources getting started with using 3ge, feel free to peruse this overview article that highlights some of the differences between the editors, and how the similarities translate between them.
You're also welcome to call our phone support for one-on-one guidance and screensharing, so they can show how the 3ge editor works live with you. You can also submit recreation requests through them, and our design team can recreate a template in 3ge for you, or make a whole new design for a price.
what the heck, I was coping emails because all of my images and logos were there , why on earth you do such stupid thing ? now i have to recreate the whole template? thanks a lot, I am going back to just sending zoom invitations to the email list
I thought I was one of the lucky ones not affected by this terrible omission of the copy function since it seemed to be working up until a week or so ago. Now, it seems the copy function is gone. Not at all pleased. Fix it.
It doesn't seem that I can create a new email with the Legacy format - and I cannot find it amongst the templates. I am assuming this format has been discontinued? Can anyone confirm this?

I have been using a similar design for an email campaign for the last several years. As of last Friday, I'm no longer able to copy the email so I can update it and use it again. I'm told it may be because I'm not using the right format of Constant Contact. How can that be? I've been a client for YEARS and have never experienced this difficulty. I need the template to help push sales on a special project - this is costing me money. Help?

What a stupid decision. We don't care what your new editor does or doesn't...we care about the inconvenience you are causing us
