I want to copy an email, as I have always done, but there is no longer an option to do this. I have also tried to contact Constant Contact but the chat never opens and the phone calls doesn't get answered. I have been trying for several days.
Thanks, Jo

Hello everyone!
We apologize for any inconvenience caused from this Copy feature not being available on your legacy campaign. The ability to copy Legacy Newsletter templates has been disabled since we are moving forward with our updated editor and are dedicating resources to making this editor the best it can be. Because of this we would recommend recreating your template in our updated editor. This up-to-date editor does have the ability to be copied.
Additionally, we have an article that specifically goes over some of the differences and similarities between the legacy editor and our current one. Feel free to peruse our Knowledge Base for other helpful guides, tutorial videos, tips, and basic troubleshooting assistance regarding the editor.
If you'd like some live, one-on-one guidance and screensharing, our friendly phone support staff would be happy to assist you while you make the transition. They can also collect info on what template(s) you'd like to have transposed into the current editor, or get an order written up if you'd like a wholly different, branded template created.
We welcome any feedback about this editor. If you would like to see a feature included, please leave your feedback here. This directly posts to our Get Feedback area where posts are read by the Product team. They use the feedback left by customers to make decisions on future feature updates based on what is getting the most volume. While we welcome your thoughts and comments here, it is best to post on that board so your feedback can be tracked easier.
Hello @LaurenT825 ,
It appears your account was part of the latest wave of legacy email builder retirements we've been emailing about. I'd recommend taking a look at our Knowledge Base for its plethora of helpful articles to ease the transition to our current, mobile-friendly email builder. For starters, you may be interested in this article on transitioning between the two builders. The current builder’s emails can be copied.
If you'd like one-on-one guidance, our general support agents can work with you live on the phone to get started as well. You can also request to have your legacy template remade in the new editor by one of the professional designers, or to have an entirely new one created for a price.
Removed the copy feature? What are ye thinking? Constant contact is useless now...
Hello @MichaelQ066 ,
As you may have read elsewhere in this thread, only the ability to copy emails made in the legacy editor has been removed. The legacy editor has not been developed for several years now, is using an outdated, defunct system, and has lower deliverability rates due to older coding and access to tools that the vast majority of email clients no longer support.

Your new editor is a joke. Only 5 blocks, REALLY. No HTML, No Tables. I compare with Wordpress with dozens of blocks and HTML. has More blocks and HTML as well as a template creation language.
Your editor is nothing.
Hello @Jeff10240 ,
What 5 blocks are you only seeing? There's:
Additionally, if you're wanting to use HTML, you're welcome to use the custom code editor. So that we can collect feedback, what other blocks are you wanting available?
this is the most asinine thing this company could do. if they knew anything about their customer base, they would know it's people sending out frequent emails and most likely just changing content. i have to send an email right now, i didn't set up my original template, and i have no idea how to do it. customer service is closed til monday. unbelievable....
The Copy Campaign Function isn't working. I understand it's been disabled.
We've invested enormous amount of time and money for last ten years with Constant Contact building simple templates that just work.
Why do this to your customers? How do I get our templates back?
None the less, a business decision on your part = my loss.
Hello,
I've been a subscriber of your service for several years. I am about to leave because I cannot use my old template that has been working quite well for a long time. I want to copy the very same design and template as I had been using, but this option is not allowed under your new protocols. Can you help with this?

I am going to evaluate moving to a different service. I do not have the time to recreate an email template every month. Plus, we use a calendar feature in our emails that lists upcoming events. To have to retype those each month will be a huge pain. Going to explore my other email sending options.
Hello @AmyN677 ,
Only the ability to copy the legacy templates has gone away. You can still copy emails made in the current, up-to-date editor.

I wasn't aware until today (the day I send out a newsletter to my org's supporters) that I would not be able to copy our template any longer. With time, I can work to recreate and hopefully even improve it, but does anyone have suggestions if I need to send sooner than I can do that? All assistance is greatly appreciated!
I just found this same issue this morning when I came in to copy for my next email campaign. Very painful to not be able to utilize what I worked so hard to recreate and improve only a few months ago!

Can't use any of our old templates now. THIS IS CRAZY. Now I have to remake all my templates that I use to use? It took me weeks to make these. I'll be cancelling CC and using a cheaper solution because of this. The only reason we were continuing to use CC is because it was already set up.
This is a horrible decision to basically wipe out years of custom templates we have designed. Are you all insane? I'm moving to a different platform.
I am in NZ and can't get anyone at Constant Contact to answer any of my email queries I send. Chat and phone no longer works, what are you suppose to do to get help.
Hello @GaryY9 ,
It looks like our agents responded to each of the chat and webform cases you made. In case you didn't notice their responses:

I can't copy old emails? Can we no longer send emails?
