I want to copy an email, as I have always done, but there is no longer an option to do this. I have also tried to contact Constant Contact but the chat never opens and the phone calls doesn't get answered. I have been trying for several days.
Thanks, Jo

Hello everyone!
We apologize for any inconvenience caused from this Copy feature not being available on your legacy campaign. The ability to copy Legacy Newsletter templates has been disabled since we are moving forward with our updated editor and are dedicating resources to making this editor the best it can be. Because of this we would recommend recreating your template in our updated editor. This up-to-date editor does have the ability to be copied.
Additionally, we have an article that specifically goes over some of the differences and similarities between the legacy editor and our current one. Feel free to peruse our Knowledge Base for other helpful guides, tutorial videos, tips, and basic troubleshooting assistance regarding the editor.
If you'd like some live, one-on-one guidance and screensharing, our friendly phone support staff would be happy to assist you while you make the transition. They can also collect info on what template(s) you'd like to have transposed into the current editor, or get an order written up if you'd like a wholly different, branded template created.
We welcome any feedback about this editor. If you would like to see a feature included, please leave your feedback here. This directly posts to our Get Feedback area where posts are read by the Product team. They use the feedback left by customers to make decisions on future feature updates based on what is getting the most volume. While we welcome your thoughts and comments here, it is best to post on that board so your feedback can be tracked easier.

I cannot believe you guys took off the copy option. This is bull**bleep**!! I will be canceling my account. Thanks for nothing.
Hello @ErikG39 ,
Only the ability to copy emails made in the retired legacy editor is being removed. I'd recommend taking a look at our Knowledge Base for its plethora of helpful articles to ease the transition to our current, mobile-friendly email builder. For starters, you may be interested in this article on transitioning between the two builders. The current builder’s emails can be copied.
If you'd like one-on-one guidance, our general support agents can work with you live on the phone to get started as well. You can also request to have your legacy template remade in the new editor by one of the professional designers, or to have an entirely new one created for a price.
@William_D @Zoe_h @Frankie_P:
This is an outrageously unprofessional, incompetent and self-immolating action by Constant Comment (CC). Since the beginning of the computer age 30 years ago, every software application had the ability to make copies of its output files, to permit creating drafts, modifications, updates, etc. And since back then as it is now, nearly everywhere else in the world of software apps new application versions, upgrades, etc. can ingest the output of previous versions and provide updated versions. If CC wants to stay in business at all, CC should provide more than promises of phone support for dealing with this on lines that go unanswered. CC should refund to all subscribing customers a free month's subscription, as a partial compensation for enduring this painful transition. And CC should ASAP crank out and execute a script to translate all CC subscribing users' existing past recently used (within say past 6 months) campaign layout files to versions compatible with the new editor. The latter should be done gratis and immediately or sooner. As many users' comments have mentioned, we were accustomed to quickly copying an existing previous campaign and revising it, so we did it just before it needed to go out. Now many or all business users of Constant Comment are likely to suffer lost clients and/or revenue due to this nasty surprise delay.
I understand that the feature that allows you to copy your template forward has been eliminated, and I am not happy about this. I will soldier on to create our December newsletter, but I have tried to use a non-template version in the past and know that this is going to take me twice the amount of time if not more, so I am very disappointed. Sadly, I am writing the newsletter when customer service is not available, too... very frustrated.

I can no longer make a copy of a previously sent campaign. I used to simply go under more options and make copy. Please help.
Hello @GilbertP1 ,
It appears your account was part of the latest wave of legacy email builder retirements we've been emailing about. With that said, this is only affecting your legacy emails. The custom code and regular emails you've made are still available for copying.
Bring back the COPY function and hurry up before we go to . I have no interest in creating new templates right now, not to mention the time that involves.
As in almost every application I have ever used, why not eliminate something that works perfectly. Then you can replace it with a nonsensical solution that is not understandable. I have been tying to solve this problem for an hour with no results. I'm about to move to a different tool by a different company. bye bye
I have the updated Legacy editor. And it has a copy button. But as of today, it is unresponsive.
I send out a new newsletter each day. Indeed, I've already revamped the entire project since updating to the new CC editor. And I don't have the time to put together a new template every day. I need that copy feature. Why is it not working?
Recently we received an email stating:
"Important: As of March 10, you will no longer be able to copy emails you created in your current editor."
Does this mean old emails in the old format will not be accessible(will they be deleted?), if I wanted to copy and paste into the new format? What will happen to my library of past emails? Every month we go back and see what we send out historically and we update the information to be relevant for this year.
What should I do to prepare for this?
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello @NorthernValley ,
Any email campaign that is explicitly a Legacy Email will no longer be available for copying. Dear William,
Please call me, I don't think you understand what I am asking,
Thank you,
Any emails built using the Legacy editor (will show Legacy Email under its name) won't be copy-able. You can still Preview them, view their reporting info, access their share URL, delete them, etc. You just won't be able to copy them to edit and send.
The notification email we automatically sent you only applies if you're still using the Legacy system to build and send your emails. If you're already fully using the current system (marked with Email under its name) then there's nothing you need to do differently.
Thank you William!
I just wanted to know we would be able to access and view the old without loosing our history.
Loosing the copy feature is rough but we don't have a choice.
We were hoping translation services would be offered by now especially now with the upgrade. Still hoping.
all my best,
Effie
all my best,
Effie
I just read the article on how to copy a 2nd generation email into a 3rd generation email template. I gave up as it got so complicated. I don't want your new templates or formats. I just want to be able to use my old forms of emails. We are successful and don't sell products. I just need to send out eblasts!
Is there a simpler way to keep my emails? Should I just copy them to documents?
I have been using Constant Contact for several years and like it because it is user friendly.
