Linking email address that includes a special character

linking an email works fine unless you have a special character that is part of the email address - then it won't let you link the email - our email includes a $ in the middle of it and it doesn't recognize it as an email. how can we go about it?

I had no issue inserting an email address with a dollar sign in it, when testing in my own account. Are you adding the link as an email link, or are you trying to add it as a web page URL?
