I just want to verify that I can manage multiple domains under one account. I manage several businesses and do not want to have to set up a separate account for each domain. I have seen recommendations in the archives and I want to verify that this is still available before I go through the steps of setting everything up.
Thanks!
Hello @chanelc50 ,
When you say "domains" are you referring to setting up multiple websites within our Website Builder system? If that's the case then each individual domain / organization / website does have its own charges in regards to securing the website domains.
If you're referring to domains as in multiple organizations using the same Email/Email Plus account - it's not something we recommend. You can certainly do it, by keeping wholly separate contact lists, logos, etc., but you'll still run into the issue of having to change the physical address when you send emails for each organization. Additionally, having multiple organizations for each account can cause significant issues if an incorrect list is sent to, or any cross-contamination between organizations' lists occurs when moving contacts around (spam reports and mass unsubscribes being the biggest issues). For this reason we generally recommend you have separate accounts for each organization, which can be further managed as one of our certified Partners.
@William_A I realize this is an older thread but I have a similar situation. I have a group of companies and we draw from the same client lists for each and we hold webinars for each of them. All using the same constant contact account. It would be completely untenable for me to maintain a separate account with the same contacts for each of my companies. That would boost my constant contact bill from $1k per month to over $5k per month. I would change services before I did something like that. But the problem I am running into is that we use DKIM and DMARC in addition to SPF. But I can only use self-authenticate with one associated domain whether I use TXT record or I use CNAME records. And I came here to ask this very question. Can I not use multiple domains with my Constant Contact account even though I have already been doing so for 4 years now. And is there a way around this? Like if I copy the CNAME record or TXT record for each sending domain will they still authenticate or when I save it and it designates a single domain the others will fail?
Hello @EricT588 ,
Multiple DKIMs aren't available in accounts at this time. If you have further questions regarding your account's self-authentication setup, that isn't covered by the main article on the topic, then I'd recommend speaking with the Delivery team.
