Multiple Emails from same company

As a consumer I am concerned about the following issue.. 

 

Real Estate firms that have hundreds of Independent Contractors seem to be taking advantage of a possible loophole.

 

You have one agent who acquires your email which is then saved to the ( Firms ) servers etc. We find ourselves unsubscribing to each and every individual Agent as your Email Address is possibly passed around the firm knowingly by the FIRM that this is happening, with no OPTION to opt out from the FIRM . 

 

It seems there should be a protection in place  for the consumer to avoid this type of predatory email campaign and abuse, and  a way to UNSUBSCRIBE from the FIRM ?

 

If there is a way to do so my apologies,  please let me know how to do this, as it's been going on for over a year .

Thank you for your interest in this matter.

Once a contact unsubscribes they cannot be sent to unless they resubscribe to that account.

We do not allow things like shared or bought lists and if it is found that a list is imported without the contact's permission (such as the shared or bought list) it gets flagged by our Account Review or List Review team.

They then contact the account owner for more information and to review the contacts that were imported.

We also keep track of complaints listed for an account in order to catch these situations as well.
