If you go into your account, you'll see that your ad ran during the period of time you set. You'll be able to see what you had as a budget vs what you actually spent, and how many impressions vs conversions you had. If you feel like the ad wasn't successful enough, you may consider editing it to run a longer period of time, or make certain tweaks (e.g. widening the target audience, changing the wording, etc.).
Another thing to note is that Facebook and Instagram ads and lead-generation ads run based on their algorithms, as the ads are technically created using their specifications and follow their rules. They show up in pre-designated ad areas on people's feeds as they scroll.
