I'm purposely going out and finding specific pictures to include with my FB posts, which takes extra time, and when they're posted all that is showing up is our "generic" logo...which doesn't draw the attention that I wanted the post to have.
Hello @TonyandPatriciaB,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
I am sorry that you have ran into this when posting your emails to that site. This is due to some recent changes on that social media site. They may choose a different thumbnail image for your post without your authorization. I wish that there was more that we could do to control which image populates when you post your emails to that social media site. Please Click Here for some more information on this issue.
As you see on the bottom of that article, we suggest selecting thumbnail images that are actually in that newsletter to increase the likelihood of your intended image posting. Also, you can grab the share URL of your email and post that directly to that site to choose the thumbnail image. Click Here for more information on getting the share URL of your email.
I really hope that this helps to explain but please let us know if you have additional questions. Thank you for using Constant Contact, have a great day!
Isn't the whole reason to use the "Share Option" so that it should share exactly what we are posting including the image from our CC email? This is horrible that there isn't a way around this and that CC hasn't been able to correct this issue!!
Hi @JasonR95
Selected thumbnails were not posting to Facebook after an update to their API settings was previously made. However we have since implemented a fix to allow users to successfully choose an image 200x200 or larger as part of the link that is shared. Are you still unable to post your image? If so, please email us at social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com with:
