Hi,
I'm acknowledging supporter by having their logo in our email. I need to be able to place 3 or more images side by side in the desktop view in the 3rd gen. Having only two per row makes the email too long visually AND long emails sometimes get clipped in gmail.
Please advice!!
P.S. Not loving the limitations and missing features in the 3rd Gen (for example accessing HTML). It seems really dumbed down. More advanced users are losing the ability to truly customize their email campaigns.

Hello @naturalresources @GreenheartExchange and @NeeleyS! I wanted to update you on the status of being able to insert five images next to each other. I'm happy to let you know that our third-generation editor now has a 5-column block that you can insert into your campaigns!
Just a few notes about this new feature:
We're so excited to announce this new feature and just had to let you know! Let us know if you have any questions.
Hello @naturalresources
At this time, we're unable to place three images next to each other in the new editor. To do so, we would need to create 3 columns or a table, which would break the mobile responsive functionality of these emails.
I would recommend placing the three logos side by side using an image editor, whic would create the same look. You are able to access Artworktool in your Constant Contact account, which has the capability of creating this type of image. You would place all three logos next to each other and save as one image.
I do apologize that the new editor doesn't have all of the functionalities as the previous. Our product team definitely wants to hear all of your feedback, so I will pass that along to them.
This will not work for me as each image needs to be individually linked. PLEASE bring back at least 3 columns to 3rd Gen!!
THX
Hello @naturalresources,
Thank you for the feedback! I can appreciate why this particular feature would be useful. I have created a case and tracked it in your account for our developers to see.
I am a new user with the same question. offered a 1:3 layout, where I could put three individually linked images in the layout. It does not seem to be possible in Constant Contact.
Have there been any updates to this issue?
Thanks!
Hi @NeeleyS
Great question! The good news is you can definitely place as many separately linked images in your email as you need. How ever if you are looking to place more than two images side by side, you are correct unfortunately this is not a feature we currently have. I can understand why you would like this feature in your emails. I would be more than happy to pass your feedback and track this request it in your account.
I want to have multiple images without being forced into columns. The program is trying to control too much instead of allowing the user to make some of those design decisions.
Thank you for reaching out. I am happy to submit your feedback to our team. Please feel free to reach out should you need anything else. Thank you for choosing Constant Contact. Have a great day!
I would also like to suggest that this feature is added back in. I need to be able to place 3 images in a row next to each other, but be able to individually link them. It's quite frustrating that this functionality is no longer available.
Hello @GreenheartExchange. At this time, we are not able to have three images in a row appear in your email using the third-generation editor but I can certainly understand why you would like this feature. We can absolutely track this feedback in your account and send it over to the appropriate team.

I also feel that this new system is a little limiting for those who are "power users" and have some HTML knowledge. I'm struggling because I need 4 images in a row to recreate our current newsletter design. It would be nice if the columns weren't restricted and in the row using the drag and drop build items. Or give an HTML box build item so we can add code to make the row function as we need to.
Thanks
I also agree that the third-generation editor is extremely limiting for those with stronger HTML knowledge. It's a little frustrating to find functionality severely cut down when it should be easier and have more options due to the templates being mobile-responsive.
Hi @DebbieA0,
Thanks for your feedback about this! I'm sorry we don't have the ability to add four columns to an email campaign in our newest editor. We suggest using two, 2-column blocks to accommodate this:
Another option would be to create the four images as a single image outside of your account, and insert it into your email campaign as a single image. Please know that I have submitted your feedback to our programmers about this functionality, and also about accessing the HTML code.
Hi Nichelle_M,
Sadly the stacked blocks don't work with our design. It's a button row we are trying to do and we don't want it to be huge, it should be more like the "find us on social media" button row that is created with the social widget you provide. So having the option to be able to add in a text box like this (that I'm typing in right now) so we can format some stuff on our own, but would still work with the mobile optimization, would be ideal.
Hello @DebbieA0. I can certainly see how this would be useful for you especially with the design you were looking for. We're always looking for way to improve our product and we have sent over your feedback. Thanks!
Hello, everyone!
We have a great update for you all. I'm happy to announce that it is now possible to include a 5-column block within your Third-Generation editor.
A few things about this new feature:
I hope all this information helps. If more information is needed on this, please click here for our Knowledge base article. We're excited for all to take advantage of this wonderful feature. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions regarding it!
I think the five column block is great - but I actually will need up to seven for the seven different properties we manage.
Hi @DerekS906
Thanks for joining us in the Community!
Glad you like the five column layout! We are more than happy to pass along this feedback to our product team regarding a seven column layout. In the meantime, feel free to either use the five column layout with a two column layout below or a four column layout used with a three column layout.
Hello @ConnectWW
We have some great options available in our 3rd generation editor including 3 and 5 column layouts. This will give you the flexibility to have multiple images side by side. You can even create a 4 column layout by deleting one of the columns from the 5 column layout. For more details on layouts click here.
Thanks!
