New Custom Code Editor Doesn't Track Individual Links

I'm using the classic custom code editor for many reasons, not the least of which is that when I tried the new one -- and I did -- the link click-throughs were not tracked in the same way as in the old one. Rather, they were lumped all together as if they were one link to one URL.

This presents two problems:

1. I can't compare new results to old ones, which is silly.

2. I can't actually track who clicked on what link anymore, or even which link got clicked more. Huh?? Isn't this basic email-marketing functionality?

Or am I missing something?
