Outer Background not showing in email

When I add a pattern and color to the outer background it does not show up in the final email. It shows just white. Everything else works just fine.

I'm sorry for the issue you are running into. There are certain instances when a background image may not appear. For instance, some email clients like Outlook don't display our background images. So it will often be blank. If you can take a screenshot of what you are seeing and send it to social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com with your username, a reference to this post, the name of the campaign, and any other information we will happily take care of it for you.

I'm having the same problem. I think it's a setting in Outlook. I saw the background in Outlook on anything with IOS but not on my Windows PC. It shows up in gmail and AOL.

You are correct, Outlook does have some limitations with displaying background images in their editor. If you set the background color to an alternate aside from white that color should display.
