Help! How do I place two separate photos, with text under each one, into one of constant contacts templates? Note: I do not want to use a newsletter template.
Thanks for any help,

Hello @FMMAFCO. Great question. With the new interface, there isn't a table feature but there is still a way that we can get buttons side by side. Please see our Knowledge Base article about using columns in your emails to create blocks that are side by side. You can also drag individual button blocks into your campaign as well.

Hi Jeannie,
When creating an email in our 2GE, you can add a customizable table into a block to put images and even text side by side. Tables also help space your content evenly for a clean look. You can also check out this FAQ on setting up your images for success.
Click the Edit this block icon to open the block editor.
Place your cursor in each cell and add text, images, or links.
Note: If you need to delete rows or columns, click the gear and place your cursor over the rows section.
Click Save to continue editing the rest of your email.
You can place a caption under those images by:
For 3GE users:
It's easy to work with images in your Email campaign or Coupon landing page using the drag-and-drop feature in our third-generation editor.
After you've uploaded images to your Library, you can insert them into your Email campaign or Coupon.
Note: If you're already working in your Email or Coupon landing page and haven't added images to your Library yet, follow the steps to change an image and you'll be able to upload without leaving the editor.
Tip: All of the build elements (images, buttons, spacers, etc...) can be added into a dual-column layout or used to create a dual-column layout by dropping them next to an existing build element.
First, I will admit that I am a noob.
Is it possible to have two buttons side by side in an email?
For example,
I cannot find a Block that will allow me to do that.
Thank you in advanced.
The easiest way to do this would be to insert them in a table.

Hi @TimF4174,
@Clique_Marketing is totally right, a table would be the easiest solution. First, you will want to have the buttons created as images so we can link them.
Once the images are uploaded, click to edit the block where you want to insert them. On the toolbar use the table button and choose the row/column number you need!
Once the table is in the block you can click into each cell to add the images.
Thanks to both of you for the advice!
Where is the table feature with the new interface?

@Caitlin_M How would you go about lining up more than two buttons in one line? I can't seem to fit more than two before it bumps me down to a second row of buttons. I am looking to create almost a tool bar of options at the top of my email template that includes more than 4 buttons on one line.
Thanks!
Hello @LindsayG1,
I can definitely envision how you want to set up the buttons and why that would look great. At this time we only allow two buttons (or text blocks or images) side-by-side in the editor. This is valuable feedback for our developers and I will make sure to track it in your account so they can review it as a possible addition in the product down the road.
@Nick_S.
Has there been any progress with this? Need to have more than two images/buttons side by side.
Hello @DavidB9672,
Thank you for your interest! I have not received any updates to this feature yet but I will track your desire as a request in your account. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
This seems outrageous to eliminate the tables feature, but to not allow more than two images side by side. You end up with clunky, non-professional looking emails. Please fix! I want to create an email template that is NON-HTML provide my colleagues the ability to edit, but I need it to have buttons across the top that link up with our website. When will there be a solution for this?
Hello @NCSML. I understand why you would like to have muliple buttons in your email. You can create links to different parts of your website that can create a toolbar effect in your emails like in the screenshot below:
While we don't have any information on if or when this feature could be put into your accounts, I will submit your feedback over to our Product team.
Me too! re: three buttons, side by side!
Hi @JenniferB3350,
Thank you for your feedback. I will be sure to submit this idea and pass along to our developers. We appreciate you taking the time to post in the Community!
I don't seem to be able to do this. In fact, my screen doesn't look like the video. There isn't a build section
Hi @KeithS660,
We're sorry for any confusion with this and glad you reached out. I checked your account and it uses the Second Generation Editor with the table option. In order to create two side-by-side buttons you'll first need to have an image for each button. Then you can add a clickable link to each button image.
To create a table for the button images, just click the table icon in the block's toolbar and place your cursor over the grid to highlight the number of columns and rows you need. So in order to create two side-by-side buttons you'll select one row and two columns:
From here you'll insert your images into the cells and then make them clickable links.
When will all accounts have the third generation editor? I do not have the Build options shown in the video either, and using a table does not provide the same clean, professional look of the button option.
Hi @lmoffat,
Thank you for your question! It is an ongoing process, getting our customers upgraded with the newest version of the editor. I would be happy to look at your account and see if you are eligible to be upgraded earlier. Please send us an email at social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com, with your username and a reference to this post, and we will take a look to see what we can do.
