Based on your current contact level, all contacts in your selected list(s) should be sent your email at the exact same time, regardless of how you have them sorted (by name, by email, by date added, etc.)
If some contacts are not receiving the email right away, it's likely a security program through their domain / ISP that might be causing delays. Are you seeing any consistencies between contacts who've won and who haven't? If you do, you may wish to create two separate lists. One list of people who seem to take longer to open / reply to their emails, and another for those able to do it right away, then send the email out to the slower list first, then send a copy of the email to the quicker list a few minutes after.
