I sent an email today in which I inserted an RSVP. The email was for a meeting that started at 10am and ended at 1:00 pm Some of my prospective participants alerted me to the fact that when they responsded affirmatively to the RSVP that they were then offered an ADD TO CALENDAR link to click. When they clicked on this link, they could post the meeting information to their calendar - unfortunately, the time listed is incorrect. Apparently, the calendar automatically defaults to the Eastern Standard Time and NOT my time zone which is Arizona (currently Pacific Standard Time).
I spoke to a representative who helped me solve this mystery. He said that he will be reporting this problem to the engineers. I am sending this feedback to support his request to fix this bug. Otherwise, the RSVP insert will not be useful to us since it will confuse people if it continues to default to the wrong time zone, contradicting the event time stated in the email. We were delighted to be able to insert and RSVP and we know our participants appreciate the Add Calendar function.
Thank you for your prompt response to this feedback request.

I posted this under feedback but thought it might be more appropriate under this section.

Hello @PeggyB125,
We really appreciate you taking the time to post in the Community! I'm glad that the representative was able to discover what was going on to notify our developers. I will also make a note in your account and make sure an email notification is sent to the address on your account when the issue is completely resolved. I am so sorry for the confusion and any inconvenience this issue may have caused!
Thank you again!
Has there been a fix to this problem? I just sent out an email using the RSVP function, but when people click to Add to Calendar it switches to Eastern time zone (12:30pm) when i am in Central time zone (11:30am). They told me it was because my Outlook must have been in Eastern time zone and it was converting to that, but i checked and my Outlook was set to the correct time zone (Central). If they have been having this problem why have they been letting us use this function knowing that it has a problem? It's really frustrating because i like using Constant Contact and like using the RSVP function, but you can't see this problem in preview and when you do a test email, so you are screwed when you send it out and this problem pops up without you knowing.
Hello @JacobS23. I'm sorry that you were experiencing this issue with the RSVP block. I can understand how you would want the time to show depending on the time zone that you are located in. I see that you spoke with our Support team yesterday and I hope that they were able to assist you. At this time, this is something that our engineers are still investigating but you will be notified if there are any updates to this issue.
I am also having this issue. The RSVP section is unusable while it still contains this bug.
Please notify me as to when this issue will be corrected.

Hi @AJKandA,
Thanks for reaching out about this and we're sorry that you are also experiencing this issue with the RSVP block. We apologize for any frustrations, and I have added your account to be notified when our engineers have it resolved.
I just sent out our first RSVP not aware that there was a time zone issue. I am in Mountain time, but the add to calendar uses Eastern Time Zone. Is there a solution, otherwise this is not a functional feature for us.
Thank you
Hello @CASC3,
Thank you for reaching out to us today. I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. As of now we do not have a workaround for this issue. I have created a case and added you to the queue to be notified when this issue is fixed. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Not sure why it is taking the "Engineers" so long to fix the RSVP calendar time zone problem. Very frustrating! In the meantime, I still use the RSVP but include the following clause:
Note, if you use the calendar function associated with this RSVP it may post as Eastern Standard time.
Hi @PeggyB125,
Thanks for joining us in the Community! We certainly understand why this would be important to have your readers accurately know when this event will take place. This is something our developers are still looking into and while we don't have an exact timeline, we have forwarded this to that team directly. In the meantime, that is certainly something you can do to let your readers know.
Am I correct that this has been a known issue for a year? You should remove the date from the RSVP until it is fixed, since it doesn't work correctly.
I posted my original complaint over a year ago regarding the RSVP calendar time zone issue. I see that subsequent responses to post keep referring that the "Engineers" are looking into it - this is NOT an acceptable response especially since this has been going on for a year. This needs to be fixed NOW.
Hello @CASC3 and @PeggyB125,
I'm very sorry that this system issue is making the tool unsuitable for your needs. It is true that this correction has been needed for quite some time. The more people that make a request for fixes, the higher priority it is for our engineers. While this issue has been known for quite awhile, I'm afraid that relatively few people have reported it, meaning that other more critical fixes have taken precedence. We will continue to track and report this issue, and pass your feedback along to the engineering team. I'm truly sorry that there's nothing more we can do in the meantime.
I have had this same issue. The RSVP block is useless if it displays the wrong time for the event.
I see this is an ongoing issue and I am a bit stunned that it still has not been resolved after a year.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community about your email. I can definitely understand how helpful it is to add an event to your calendar. I apologize for the experience you've had with this feature showing the wrong time zone. You are correct, at this time this is not something that has yet to be resolved. It is however something we are still tracking and troubleshooting further. In fact, I have tracked this experience in your account and added you to a queue to be notified when it is fixed.
Hello, I too am experiencing this issue as well - has there been any updates to fix this?
Hi @Skookum
I apologize this is happening with you're having with this RSVP Action Block! However it's important for me to note the experience this thread is focused on has since been resolved. Because of this we would like to troubleshoot this further for you.
