Hi all, I just setup my CC account, and am loving the platform. I created a standard Sign-Up form that I embedded into my website, however, when someone fills out the required info and clicks "Sign Up" they are simply redirected to the same page, but without all of the Signup Fields. This is confusing to the user as they may not really know what just happened - whether the form worked, or what.
Is there a way to have the user be directed to a specific page once they click "Sign Up"? Ideally a page within my page that just says "Thank you for signing up, you should be receiving a confirmation email in your inbox".
Thanks in advance!

Hi all. With the introduction of our Lead Generation Landing Pages, the "Thank You" page can be customized to include a button with a redirect URL. At this time, inline and pop-up forms do not have this functionality. If you wish to see this functionality, please vote or comment on this post on our Feedback boards. Though we do not have a time estimate if a feature like this will be available in the product, any updates will be posted there, not on this post. Voting and commenting on the linked post above helps to influence future product decisions and allows you to be notified of replies from our teams.
Hello @JorgeB803,
After someone enters their information when using a Constant Contact sign up form, they would then click "Sign Up". They should get redirected to a screen that looks like the image below:
They should then be able to "X" out of this page and go back to your website. I believe you may be using a 3rd party sign- up form that may not have the functionality you are looking for. Take a look at the Constant Contact sign up form located in your account and see if this might be better for the features you are looking for. Here is a step by step on how to embed it onto your website as well.
Hayley that is now how it looks anymore.
just a box on the page the form was.
The link you posted "Constant Contact sign up form" does not show how to redirect to our own thank you page.
I am using the CC sign up form and there is no option or prompt to send them to a thank you page of our own.
Is this possible, and if so, how? I do not see it.
This is all we are able to add: left side is the form appearance and data, the center is the form, top right is Publish. I do not see where to send them to a thank you page of our own.
Hello @BrianJ543,
Thank you for coming to the Community for this. The link and information Hayley provided in her post were from a previous version of the sign-up form.
At this time there is not an option to redirect the user to another page after filling out the form. This is great feedback and I am happy to share it with our developers on your behalf. For more information on the new inline sign-up form please check out our Knowledge Base article.
Guys.
I too am looking for the redirect. In effect, My team is using goggle analytics to do some conversion metrics.
Are there any plans to have this capability in the future?
Hi @JulieH2841
Thank you for reaching out to the Constant Contact Community. It's my pleasure to assist you today.
At this time, that feature isn't currently being built into the system. However, we are always tracking feedback of what our customers are wanting. I'm happy to submit your vote for this particular feature. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for choosing Constant Contact. Have a great day!
Wow. I "third" this request to have a forwarding option to another page. Other companies offer this, so I will have to look at using them.
Please let us know when this is available, because I believe more and more people will be requesting this.
Brett
Hello @BrettW276,
Thank you for reaching out to us. At this time this feature is currently unavailable. I will be submitting your feedback to the correct department for review as they are still collecting information about this feature. Please let us know if there is anything else that you would like to have passed along and we'd be more than happy to track it. Feel free to reach back out to us with any questions.
I need this as well! In the old days I could download the code for the form to embed into my web page. From there it was easy to change the submit URL to whatever I wanted. The main thing I need it for is that I have customers inside a retail store that wants a coupon for a particular item so I have them sign up for email notifications. We have found the Welcome email takes way to long to get back to our customer so they leave before getting it. Since it is only good that day, our customer is angry and we have done the opposite of what we intended. My preference is to give us back the ability to download code to embed. At least add it as a field when creating a Landing page (Sign up form) Please don't suggest I try the API solution. I am not a programmer.
Hello @EpicS9,
Thank you for coming into the community with your request! While this isn't a feature we currently have, I'm adding your account to the list of users requesting the ability to redirect the thank-you page back to your own website. If you have any other ideas of how to improve our sign-up forms, or other parts of our product, please let us know so we can pass that on to the developers as well!
This feature is a must for the simple reason of tracking and measuring your conversions through already existing pixels from FB / Google etc! That way the conversion event becomes part of the campaign. Otherwise you'll always have to check time stamps and emails added to list on Constant Contact and match that back to your campaign. Pretty painful!
Please add this feature as soon as possible.
Thanks for joining us in the Community and for your feedback! Although this feature isn't currently available in our product,
This is a definite must-have feature. I am surprised that this feature isn't available and should be made a top priority for the developers.
Hello @KevinH6942,
I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you. We completely understand why you would want to have this feature. I would be more than happy to submit your feedback as well for our engineers to review. Thank you for letting us know, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
I also had this issue and it drove me crazy. Completely agree that this should be functionality that exists within constant contact because that's what email marketers are currently doing. Anyhow, I found a way to accomplish this but had to use the WPForms plugin so I just wanted to share to help everyone else out.
The WPForms plugin can connect to Constant Contact and there is a confirmation setting within the form settings that allows you to redirect to any URL like a thank you page. I used elementor to create the landing and thank you pages. Elementor allows you to use the WPForm shortcode to imbed into the landing page.
Super simple and works great, good luck!
John
Hello @JohnM0019,
Thank you for sharing that workaround! Long-term we would of course want to be able to provide for all of your needs without having to resort to third-parties, but we're glad that you've found something that works for you. We'll continue tracking the feature requests so hopefully we can make it simpler for everyone in the future.
Any updates on this?I just started a helping a client setup conversion tracking on their site, and am really surprised there isn't some pixel firing functionality built into Constant Contact. Seems like a really basic function to include.. is there a way to fire a conversion pixel from the signup form yet?
Hi @robertl0765
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with this feedback! I can understand how helpful it would be for you to include a conversion pixel in your form. However this is not an available feature. I apologize for any inconvenience caused from not having this tool. In the meantime, I have tracked this feature request in the event that there is any change in the future.
I'm really surprised that this isn't something that Constant Contact can't do already. So the WPforms workaround is the only solution?
Hi @AngelM5
Though this feature is not available I have submitted your feedback on this in your account. Are you using WordPress? If so, you are correct, the workaround listed in this thread can work for you in the meantime.
The workaround does not work for me because the WPForm does not allow my customers to choose a mailing list to sign up for. You have to create a separate form for each list you want to offer.
Hi @EpicS9
You are correct, our plugin does not allow you to select more than one list to join. At this time we also do not have any update about redirecting to a different page. Because of this we suggest taking a look for another inline form plugin compatible with WordPress that might have this capability. I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing you.
This is a HUGE oversight. You should priotize this feature immediately.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this feature. The hacks I am putting in place are disgusting.
Hello @TonyM466,
Thank you for expressing that you would like this feature as well. We will definitely submit your feedback on this!
