Hi all, I just setup my CC account, and am loving the platform. I created a standard Sign-Up form that I embedded into my website, however, when someone fills out the required info and clicks "Sign Up" they are simply redirected to the same page, but without all of the Signup Fields. This is confusing to the user as they may not really know what just happened - whether the form worked, or what.
Is there a way to have the user be directed to a specific page once they click "Sign Up"? Ideally a page within my page that just says "Thank you for signing up, you should be receiving a confirmation email in your inbox".
Thanks in advance!

Hi all. With the introduction of our Lead Generation Landing Pages, the "Thank You" page can be customized to include a button with a redirect URL. At this time, inline and pop-up forms do not have this functionality. If you wish to see this functionality, please vote or comment on this post on our Feedback boards. Though we do not have a time estimate if a feature like this will be available in the product, any updates will be posted there, not on this post. Voting and commenting on the linked post above helps to influence future product decisions and allows you to be notified of replies from our teams.
I would also like to see this feature added ASAP.
Not having the ability to re-direct adds additional steps in my funnel.

Hello,
I just tried started playing with the Landing Page feature today. This is still not really acceptable for my client as it appears that this is hosted on a Constant Contact server and not embedded within our webpage. So, once again...almost there but not quite. I really can't believe how difficult this is to get a form to look like we want it to look, with a custom look and feel, with a custom confirmation page. This is 2019...it should not be this hard!
I too am shocked we can't put in a custom Thank You URL to a page on our website once someone fills out the form hosted on our own site. Every other platform can, why not CC? Very disappointing.
We can't rely on email for people to get the download we promised them as that is never 100% deliverability, even from CC.
Are there plans in the works to add this very much needed feature in?
Thank you Frankie. In the case of an embedded form, how/where can we customize the thank you and error messages... and the email that goes to people when they do subscribe?
Hello @JASSI,
We can't edit an error message or thank you page in embedded forms. As shown above, you can make the edits you need to the thank you page with our Lead Generation Landing pages. The email you will want to edit when people subscribe will be called the Automated Welcome Email. Thank you!
Wow. Ditto me too. This is so important to us that if it weren't for the WPforms suggestion I would be signing up my client up with instead to get it. Hoping that puts some fear in you. Big mistake to remove it.
Hi @JimS972
Great question! I can completely understand why you would want to customize the Thank You page on your sign up form. I apologize this is not a feature we currently offer. However I would be happy to track this request in your account and submit your feedback to the appropriate teams!
I would also like to be able to edit this Thank You response. Has there been any progress made on that feature?
Thank you for reaching out to us through the Community. I can definitely understand why you would want to customize the Thank You page of the sign-up forms as you could include among other things, a more personal message to the newly signed-up recipients. At this time, we still do not have the ability to customize this page, but I have tracked the request to notify our developers about the possibility of this feature. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I also want to mention that we have our Welcome Email campaigns that can be sent out to newly added recipients automatically upon singing up for your lists. Although this won't replace the Thank You page, you are able to create and customize a more personal email that will send out to your new contacts. For more information on this, please click here. Please, let us know if you need assistance with anything else.
Any progress on this? Seems like it would be a basic feature and a well received one as well. The "One-size-fits-all" type of message does not fit all in this particular case.
Russ.
Hi @RussK35, Thanks for joining us in the Community! I can certainly understand why you would like to edit the thank you page after a contact joins your list. At this time,
So it has been over a year, when will this be put into effect?
I can't believe what I'm reading here. I just came across this thread - is there STILL no way to customize the thank you page after a ticket has been opened for a year?!?! Seriously...there is no way a canned response is appropriate for everyone's needs. I have an automated series of emails for venue pricing. A user is not subscribing to a list, how unprofessional!!! So, we have the Wordpress Plugin that allows a redirect to a URL and while it works fine, the forms look horrible. Then we have the CC solution, with a beautiful form and a crappy canned response. Really? I'm a new user and can't believe basic things like this have not been addressed...
I can't believe there isn't a simple option to redirect new subscribers to a custom page (thank you page, tripwire or else) after signing up. I don't see why it seems to be so complicated for you to add this simple feature.
I just started using Constant Contact but unfortunately, I will stop using it because not having this custom page makes me lose a lot of money. I'm going back to ConvertKit, at least they have this kind of basic features.
Hi @user40431
The good news is our new Lead Generation Landing Pages do offer this ability! With these landing pages you not only have the option to customize the sign-up form, but also it’s Thank You page! You also have the option of adding a downloadable file or even a link to redirect to from this Thank You page as well.
It's 2021. This is a standard feature for email sign up forms. Why is this still not implemented?
Please, PLEASE sort this out. What an oversight - and people have clearly been asking for years...
Hi @Dartington
The good news is our new landing pages do offer the ability to both edit the thank you page and add a re-direct link to it as well. Does this help fit your needs?
This is not helpful! We want to be able to embed a form on our website, say in the footer of the site, for newsletter signups and be able to redirect those that sign up to our own thank you page.
Hi @SusanF685,
Just to clarify the thank you page you want to redirect to from the point they sign-up is an independent page outside of Constant Contact that you've assembled yourself?
Yes, that's correct. I want the sign up form on my website and when the user enters their info into the form, they are immediately directed to a thank you page on my website.
Great - thank you for clarifying. At this time the redirect feature is only available for the sign up Landing Pages which cannot be embedded. I do see what you mean about this also being a feature that would be useful for the embedded/inline sign up forms. We have re-opened a previous feedback thread on this topic to reflect the need for more customizations to the thank you pages of embedded forms. Feel free to vote on the linked topic and we will provide any future updates in that thread.
