Reporting Details Missing

I sent out an email campaign this morning.  After sending, I added several additional contacts that were not in the first distribution and re-sent the campaign.  I then went to see the reporting details to see how the campaign was doing, and was shocked to see that everything we reset to zero.   Apparently, if you add more contacts to a campaign and re-send, you lose all of the reporting details for the original send.  This is ludicrous.  Does anyone know a workaround to be able to get ALL of the reporting details?
