Good morning. I produce a newsletter each week and use Social Share to post it to Facebook. For several weeks now, the image I attach to the post is not posting and a generic picture is posting (It is a picture that we have used in the past but not sure how Constant Contact if picking the picture or if Facebook is adding it to newsletter) Either way, we are a tourism center and I select a different picture for each newsletter. Can you please explain why this is happening and provide any insight in how to get Social Share working properly again. Thank you. Joanne Moore

Facebook recently changed its API which now auto-selects the image for your Social Share posts. While we are actively working on a solution for this, we suggest using the Short URL for your campaign to create a manual post on Facebook. This way you are able to add the image that you would like to include.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you but I assure you that we are working towards a solution that will allow you to include the image the way that you used to.

I understand that since July 17 there has been a problem w/ posting photos when an email is shared to FB. It's already one and a half months since this problem began and the notice says you working on fixing the problem. What is taking so long? It doesn't feel like I'm getting my money's worth if a problem like this isn't resolved in a timely matter, which at this point has come and gone. Please advise. Thank you.

I am sorry for the delay is finding a workable solution to this recent change. When various social media sites make changes to their policies we have to adapt accordingly and in some cases we are at the whim of the change on the social media site. I called recently to ask why some photos are downloading while others aren't. I've had Constant Contact for several years now and never had this issue until recently. The spokesperson told me it was a problem and their engineers were investigating trying to fix the problem. I wasn't the only one I guess. How's it going. I just did tried to download two photos and they didn't load into Twitter or Facebook.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I apologize for the experience you're having with sharing your emails on your social media accounts. This is something that happens due to Facebook's recent changes to help with false articles from being posted. These changes cause Facebook to auto-pick the image, title, and description for your Social Share posts. While we do not have a time estimate of when this will be fixed as this is something we are still actively looking into. In the mean time, we also do suggest to manually post your emails by their Share URLs. I also did want to note that I took a peek at your Twitter account and can see the image you selected is showing.
Yesterday, Dec. 2, I downloaded a photo on CC. It did not download into Facebook. It’s hit and miss. I had tp paste URL to my Facebook Page and download photo manually. Not sure why I’m paying CC.
