Heard back from a client that was using uBlock Origin Chrome extension and said a campaign blast with a download link contained commercial tracking. I believe that this is just the tracking Constant Contact uses for reporting, but can someone confirm?
The software was using Peter Lowe's Ad and Tracking Server List and blocked rs6.net.
I think this guy is overreacting. He's claiming we're trying to install spyware on his computer. I just need some proof to get him to relax.
You are correct, the r20.rs6 is the redirect link domain we use on tracking for our reporting. Although you have already spoken to our Chat Support about this, we wanted to make sure this answer is also shared here in the Community for other users as well. We have received similar reports of the uBlock extension blocking our tracking ling. In these cases we suggest either turning off uBlock Origin or disabling the block for rs6.net and/or r20.rs6.net in extension's settings.
We have several thousand recipients that have the uBlock Chrome extension installed. How is Constant Contact working to mitigate these types of ad blockers. Our click-through rate has dropped significantly since uBlock was added to Chrome.
