We can absolutely troubleshoot this issue with you. The most common cause I've seen for that error, is that it can sometimes happen if your custom fields on the export are too strict. If you accidentally rule out all contacts, then that error will often appear when attempting to export the list of zero contacts. If you also get that when exporting a full report, please email us which event you're working on, and any custom-field criteria you wanted exported.
