Send email to one person at a time

I have created some emails I want to send individually, to one person at a time, as new clients come into our clinic. How can I do this? I only see the ability to email from lists that are created.

Thank you.

Hi Erica,

You are correct that emails can only be scheduled out to lists or segments. However, you can create a list for just the one contact, schedule it to them, and then delete the list afterwards if necessary. Here's an article on creating new lists in case it comes in handy.

Hi David B

I had the same question that EricaV24 asked and I understand your answer and can perhaps work with your solution (but) I do have a follow up question.  Can I "move" that one (1) contact to a different list which I already used to send an email campaign to, and then delete the list that the one (1) contact was in?

Hello @BillS5702

You can always delete a contact list. If you move a contact to a different list that you have already sent a campaign to there would be no issue. You can also delete the list the contact was previously in if you do not need it anymore. We will want to make sure that there are no other contacts in the list you want to delete that you would like to move or save just in case an email address is lost in the transfer

If you are doing a resend of a campaign this method will only work if the contact is new or did not get the sent the email originally!

Thanks for the solution, but if I may give a little constructive feedback, this is not very user-friendly.

Use case: I sent an email to a list of about 250 names. A handful bounced and I was able to track down the correct email address for one of them and I corrected and saved it in their CC record. But now I have to go through this whole thing of making a new list, sending to that list, and then deleting it to send one email? Why not put an option within the campaign to send to one or a handful of additional addresses without going through the whole list process?

If you need to send an email to a single contact, or a small group of them, you can perform a Quicksend. Quicksends are available through the contacts dashboard, or through emails' reporting pages (for example going into the bounce list, selecting the handful of contacts no longer suspended, Actions > Quicksend > the name of the email you wish to send them). Please be aware that there's a max of 5000 contacts that can be quicksent to at a time.

I agree. Not very user friendly just based on this issue

Thank you so much Zoe. I didn't even think to look at the drop down menu, but rather I looked at the 3 little dots to the right for an action to send.

Thank you again, that helped so much.
