Hi @ChristopherP703, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing after it's delivered to the inbox? I sent a test email to my inbox and it looks fine for me. What email client are you receiving the email at? Is this happening with test emails, live sends, or both? And are you viewing the email on a desktop/laptop or mobile device?
So these are three examples. All desktop. All Gmail. One is a test. One is an actual email. One is in the Constant Contact Editor. You can see the email is displayed only in a narrow column in the middle of the email window. Why can't I make it wider, so it appears bigger to the recipient? Thanks!
Thanks for the additional information! A majority of our templates are 600px wide which allows them to look good across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. However, depending on the size of the screen/window on desktop they can look like there is a lot of space on both sides like you're seeing. There isn't currently a way to change the width of templates, but we do have two 800px wide templates available for anyone looking for a wider template. If you create a new email and search for "wide" in the template picker you will see them. They should have all of the same layouts and editing options as any other template, so they should be able to be customized to look like your current template. It is just 200px wider, so I wouldn't expect it to fill the entire screen - here is a screenshot from my Gmail for some context:
Okay I see what you mean. Is there any option to 'swap' templates, so I don't have to start a new, wider template and waste time repopulating the whole thing with my current newsletter content or do I have to recreate the whole thing? Thanks for letting me know!
You'd need to select a different template altogether.
Also if you are using the two - column divided build option it does some crazy things to your overall width.
