1) How can I delete or disable a signup form? 2) When I click Universal code, which signup form does the code link to if you have more than one form?
Hi @LisaM710
A sign-up form can be disabled or deleted through it's drop down options.
As for the Universal Code, I apologize but this code connects to all forms. At this time the universal code we supply, does not allow the option to specify which Pop Up form form appears. While on the other hand, inline forms can be specified through it's inline code. Are you looking for a specific code to each pop up form you create? If so, this is a feature request we are collecting feedback on so user can have different pop up forms or inline forms for different websites they manage.
Hi Frankie,
I know that this post is an older one, but I have a similar question.
There are two sign up forms in the older version of the Basic Landing Pages, which we are unable to delete (this option isn't in the drop-down).
Somehow, people are coming across this form which we had created a very long time ago and they are still able to sign up. We need to delete these forms permanently as we have newer versions that we use.
Can you please direct me as to how I can delete them?
Hello @SharonC9378 ,
At this time the legacy sign up form's link can't be broken, even by our higher level technical team. If you don't have this link hosted anywhere, then it's possible some contacts and non-contacts are accessing it through the webpage versions of your emails, if you're including that in your emails, sharing them on social media, or hosting the links on your website and elsewhere. At this time, there isn't a way to remove that from the webpage versions either.
I've tracked these feature requests for your account, and submitted them to the engineers for further review. If and when they have an update on being able to break the legacy sign up forms links, or an update on customizing / removing the sign up form option on email webpages, they'll notify you directly.
Hello, we realized this post was from a few months ago, but this problem still seems to persist for us as well. We are trying to either delete or deactivate an old legacy sign up form. The reason is that when we link to the web version of any CC campaign for any list, Constant Contact for some reason places a blue "Join Our Email List" button at the top of the web version which takes people to an incorrect landing page for a less-used contact list.
This can cause a lot of confusion and get people signing up for the wrong list! Please advise.
The legacy sign-up form is hard-coded into the webpage versions of emails. At this time it isn't possible to exclude it, so we advise keeping it up-to-date as far as what fields of information you need from contacts, and provide the lists you want as selectable options if applicable.
To edit the form, go to the Sign up forms tab in the top navigation bar, click Basic Landing Pages, then edit the default Sign up form available.
