We've been working to try to set up the social share icons in our emails, however, when we test the email it appears to link back to the knowledge base article about how to social share rather than the recipient's social pages. Is there a step we are missing in the setup to make this connection possible?

Until the email is sent live, those share buttons won't be able to connect with a recipient's social platform for logging in.
Test emails and previews will not have all the same functionality as live sendouts. Similar to how certain personalizations and insert contact details functionalities will not work until truly sent to a contact.
