Special characters in preheaders

Anyone know what happens to special characters in preheaders? I pasted a registered trademark in one that appears to display as intended in Outlook (MS Office Professional 2016 version), but I'd like to try to be sure it doesn't show a garbled nonsense string of code in other email clients.

The good news is you can add special characters to the subject line or body of your email! Here is an article from our Help Center that shares more information on some of the most commonly used symbols.
