If we create a survey using Constant Contact's survey tool, and share the link in our Constant Contact newsletter as part of a story or call to action, when someone clicks the link to take the survey, will the responses be attributable to the contact or will they just be recorded as anonymous?
(We are hoping to not have to email an invite to the survey to cut down on emails to our member's inboxes. If we can include the link in the newsletter and still be able to see their responses, we'll be very happy.)
Thanks in advance!
Hello @ValerieD018 ,
Including the survey as part of an email is the only way to be able to capture the identity of the responses, as sharing the link in other ways - such as through social media or posted to a website - won't be able to capture that info since there's no applicable email address to grab.
So if the survey link is included in the constant contact newsletter that is sent via constant contact, it will not capture the info? We are not talking about sharing on socials or website. Sorry, I'm just not clear on the answer.
No, including it in an email is the only way to capture their contact info.
A point of clarification - a survey link cannot be added to an event email, which only allows website, email, and anchor links
Hello @PeterT4965,
You absolutely can add a Survey Link to an event invitation manually if you would like, your responses will be anonymous though.
