I am attempting to make a graph of Open-Rate-by-Time in excel. I export the data from the Open Rate tab, and when I open in Excel the timestamp is read as 1/23/2018 7:08pm. Excel reads this as text, not a date, and there is no way to auto format a large dataset. If you simply add a space before the pm, so the date reads 1/23/2018 7:08 pm, all of a sudden excel recognizes that as a time/date, and you regain all functionality.
Is there an easy way to add that space to my dataset? Or better, will Constant Contact just reformat so every export shows properly?
Welcome back to the Community! Thank you for reaching out to us. This is a great question. So in order to get the Excel spread sheet to recognize it as a time/date, you would need to do a 'Find and Replace'.
Having that extra space added should fix it for you! I will also be submitting this as a feature request so that this step won't be necessary.
