Has anyone found a way to turn off the responsive design feature?
Hello @RebeccaR37,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! Can you please give us some more information about what you are needing to be turned off? If you are referring to the mobile responsiveness of the templates, we can't turn that off because the majority of customers are now looking at emails on their phones. I will gladly submit your feedback on this! Thanks.

We are longtime customers, been with Constant Contact at least 15 years and probably closer to 20. We have always designed our own emails so that we can provide our customers with not only the "look & feel" of our brand, but also a direct link to the items they are interested. The legacy emails, prepared in Photoshop could be sliced any way we wanted to enhance our design, with each slice having its own direct link attached to it. Our customers loved this and told us so---and our stats speak for themselves--open/click rates well above industry standards. NOW, without the legacy system, if we do anything less than a 600 px slice, it splits the design all apart on a mobile device (examples attached)----and mobile devices are where most of our customers are seeing our email. This is limiting us to only 600 px slices or a design with slices that has to be in blocks where there is no overlap. In the past we have been able to access the code to adjust things that weren't to our liking, but now with the new system that is not accessible either. VERY frustrating. We were hoping that if we turned the "responsive design" off that our emails could be seen as they were intended in their original design----in the past the mobile view was the same as the desktop view---no splitting apart of the design. I do hope you have a solution, because previously both we and our customers were SO happy with Constant Contact that we would have never thought about looking for another email client, but unless we get a resolve with this, we will be forced to look elsewhere. In the attached files for example, the first shot is how the email should look....the others show how it actually looks on a mobile device. Thank you in advance for your attention to this and any help you may be able to provide.
Hi @RebeccaR37 ,
Thank you for providing the additional details, I'm sorry to hear about the frustrations. We've heard some requests for easier use of image maps in the new editor, which is sounds like what you're using by slicing up the images. I'll be sure to include your feedback for that too.
We may be able to offer you a workaround using the Custom Code editor, but it isn't something that we recommend due to a few problems it poses. The biggest of which is that it breaks our click tracking for links, so you would need to do something like add Google Analytics tracking codes to each link to get a similar level of data. Definitely not ideal but if it's something that you're interested in learning more, or would like to ask some more questions feel free to reply here or send me a private message and I'd be happy to help give you more information. Either way, I'll be sure to get this feedback passed along because it would be great if there was a better way to manage designs of this type.
