Twitter post fail

Twice in the past week, I have had posts to Twitter fail to send with a "user is over daily status update limit" error. I am never over my update limit; the queued post is typically the only post of the day. One of the failed posts was supposed to be posted today and it repeatedly fails. However, I am able to make a test post through TweetDeck without issue. Sort of defeats the purpose of queuing a post if I have to log back in to resend when it fails.

Hello everyone,

Our engineers are reporting that the "User is over daily status update limit," API and posting issues should now be resolved. Thank you all for the helpful info and patience while our engineers worked with Twitter to get this addressed.

If you're still experiencing this error, please create a new thread so we can investigate and troubleshoot further.

Hello @BCTSAS ,

Does recreating the tweet and trying to post the new one work, or reducing the number of characters - even if you're already within the limit? Beyond that, it may be that there's too much traffic coming into Twitter resulting in certain 3rd party API restrictions, and it'll just be a matter of trying to post at a later time.

I continue to get the error message "User is over daily status update limit" on twitter posts. I was told in a chat that this was a problem on your end and that it was being looked into, but it is still occurring. Any idea when this bug will be fixed. Do I need to do something differently?

Hello @DebbieK5 ,

I'm not sure why chat support said "issue on our end," as it's an issue stemming from Twitter's restrictions on 3rd party APIs and individual user accounts. Does recreating the tweet and trying to post the new one work, or reducing the number of characters - even if you're already within the limit? Beyond that, it may be that there's too much traffic coming into Twitter resulting in certain 3rd party API restrictions, and it'll just be a matter of trying to post at a later time.

Twitter is always giving me an error message. "User is over daily status update limit." This is the only post going out today. How can this be corrected?

I usually post once a day to social media from my business accounts, via Constant Contact. The social posting tool is very convenient and I've been happy with it for as long as we've been using it. Recently, I've started getting a "User is over daily status update limit" error and my posts won't go through to Twitter. Facebook and Instagram seem to have no issues. Once in a while wouldn't be a big deal, but this problem seems to be persisting and happens almost every day now. When I go to my accounts page it says Twitter is synced and there are no issues. Is there something I can do to fix this?
