If the email is currently being used as your From / Reply-To address, or is being used as the main account contact or billing email, then it won't be able to be removed. You'll need to replace those with a different verified address. If you're still unable to delete the old address after making those changes, we'd advise calling our general support so they can confirm security permissions live, and administratively remove the email from your account.
