Updating a Contact List

I have multiple users who share an e-mail address and the system only allows one entry per e-mail. Is there a way to change the primary field to a member ID number? One of our unique fields is a "relationship field". Rather than maintaining multiple lists, I would like to be able to keep one with all our members and filter mailings based on relationship.

In addition, when I upload changes, it just adds a new contact for that person. Is there a way it can overwrite the existing record with the changes?

Hello @DennisJ26,

I do apologize for any inconvenience but we can only have one email address attached to one contact that is able to be used for marketing properly. The system will always add an email address as a separate contact if it is unique. You will want to edit the contact details here if you have a new email address for someone.
